 Born and raised in Metro Detroit’s legendary underground music scene, Nikkie Nocturnal is a DJ, producer, and event curator known for blending hypnotic house, driving techno, and bass-forward grooves with a strong focus on community.

She began her career in 2015 under the alias Hypnotic, quickly gaining recognition through local residencies and underground showcases. By 2017, she secured her first residency with Electric Fridays at Thunder Bowl Lanes, followed by Hypnotic Thursdays at W. Cross Station Bar in Ypsilanti (2018), where she curated weekly lineups and hosted guest talent.

In 2019, Nikkie founded and ran Science of Sound Productions, growing it from a Detroit-based collective into a multi-city event brand with showcases across Michigan and Florida, while also launching Science of Sound Records. 

As a producer, Nikkie independently released Take It Higher in 2020, followed by tracks like Space Drive and Lost in the Circuit, showcasing her signature blend of spacey atmospheres, pulsating basslines, and hypnotic rhythms.

In January 2025, she launched Industry Sundays at Garden Bowl Detroit, now her longest-running weekly residency and a staple gathering for house heads, DJs, and industry professionals in the city.

In 2026, Nikkie entered a new chapter with the founding of Nocturnal Entertainment Group, an umbrella for her event production, creative direction, and brand collaborations.

Today, Nikkie Nocturnal is recognized as a versatile DJ with deep roots in house and techno, delivering high-energy, immersive sets while continuing to elevate Detroit’s underground culture.
